We’ve gone GREEN!

We bit the bullet yesterday and got a new car! Well, a newer car – we purchased a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid and I love this car! We got rid of Eileen’s gas guzzling SUV in favor of the fuel economy and sportiness of the HCH. So far, the gas gauge reads 40.2 MPG average – we’ll see how well that stands the test of time, but our old SUV was at 16.7 MPG! I’ll take the 40.2 or even 37… heck I’d take 30!! When I think about how much we’ve blown on gas this past summer (past year, nevermind) we just couldn’t justify keeping the SUV anymore… here are some pics! Oh, and YES that’s leather!

Fix your HONDA Minivan Power Doors

** I’m retyping this because Wordpress somehow ATE my original POST AARGH! **

There are few things that give me more pleasure than fixing something myself when it would have probably cost big $$’s to fix professionally.

Case in point: this morning, my mini van’s automatic sliding doors decided to stop working on the passenger side.

XM Radio… on AOL!

I’ve been using AOL for years, keeping it around mainly for Eileen’s account, but it’s also cool for the kids (they have something called KOL).

I recently figured out that you can listen to XM Radio for free if you subscribe to AOL. They even have a standalone program for the Mac that works great!

Now that HURTS!

Eileen’s Boo Boo shoulder

You know when it’s a potentially bad morning when your kid runs upstairs screaming “mommy hurt herself and is on the couch!!!”. It sends a chill up your spine for sure… especially when Eileen said she was going for a bike ride this morning!
