Fun at the Big E

We go to the Big E every year with the kids and this year was a blast.  This time, we purchased our tickets and the midway pass in advance, so it made the whole process even more fun because we didn’t have to stress about waiting in lines, buying tickets, ride credits, etc.

Pictures or food, I can’t decide

I went to the CT Culinary Institute yesterday to check out their course offerings… I’m considering taking the Advanced Culinary program there… but as much as I like to cook, I really like taking pictures too – of course,  I can do both, but not as well as I’d like to.  Both are hobbies and just like sometimes I take a good picture, sometimes I come up with a good dish.  (perhaps more than sometimes, but you get my drift)

Two things I seem to have completely dropped off of… blogging and taking pictures.

SCAM ALERT: how to lower your credit card rates

I just got an automated phone call from account services calling about my credit card. The message never identified what credit card company it was from, nor who the cardholder was supposed to be. It just wanted me to press 1 to speak to a live operator so they could lower my interest rate.

Of 3G and happiness

I’m sitting here updating my iPhone and thinking.

I’m thinking that perhaps the iPhone 3G wasn’t exactly ready for the masses, just yet.  Mainly because I’m on my third phone right now and still having  issues related to connectivity.

iPod nano deals, and oh yeah, I’m baack!

I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things, after spending most of the summer down in Old Lyme, CT.  This came into my inbox today, it’s pretty cool and the deal is actually really good:
