I’m getting to the point where if I don’t play out soon, I’m going to lose my stuff.
We had a pretty good run with Chum & The Oily Fish Bits – a run that lasted about as long as the name did! A lot of laughs, and some pretty descent music.
Since we went our separate ways, I decided to reform with Dan and some local folks (local to Wilbraham). Had all the parts lined up, including a drummer. But, the drummer had to back out due to personal issues… and so I’ve been floating in limbo since October.
Now, granted, I haven’t been working as hard as I might have to find another drummer. I look at BandMix.com, Craigslist.org, etc. to see if anyone’s looking, but I much prefer getting together with someone thru a personal recommendation. It’s sort of like dating… I never did like the whole trying to “pick up” someone, it always was much easier to be “introduced”.
So, the point of my post is: if you know a drummer – send them my way! SOON before I go insane :). If I play to iTunes another hour… AARGH!
On a positive note, I’m slowly weeding out my excess basses… If you’re interested in some nice pieces, let me know!
